Match on Action
Match on Action is the term used when the camera follows action in the shot so for example here we see this when the girl reaches for the door handle the camera follows her hand and we get a close up of her hand on the door, ready to open it.
Match on Action could be used to emphasise the action, and it really makes you feel like you are in that fictional world as you follow the events that are happening around the characters. Match on Action can be very effective if used in a horror film because you could follow a character as they walk toward danger, building suspense as it feels like we're with them. In our short film we use Match on Action when Jordan opens the door to Tom's character as the camera shows a close of his hand on the door handle.
How will you use this in your film - remember part of the brief is that you have to open a door, so you have an opportunity to do a MOA there. Maybe show your MOA and SRS from your completed Storyboard in this post - go back in and edit it.
